The Water Classification Program is based on a foundation of managing water according to goals set by the groups of people and organizations that use the water.  These uses include waters for drinking, recreational and industrial activities and aesthetic values.  The goals of the Water Classification Program are to protect, maintain or improve the water quality of our provincial lakes and rivers.
